mites and lots of others.

Bison's are like buffalos. They have fur and
there are two different species of bison's. In
American culture the bison is referred to as the
buffalo.

Chickens are cute and cuddly animals that lay
eggs and are a common source of poultry. Poor
chickens.

Dogs are a common pet all around the world. They

Did you know that the smallest breed of dog in

Did you know the worlds heaviest elephant weighed

Elephants are mainly found in Africa. The
elephants average life span in the wild is up to
60 years.

Most frogs live on land and water. They are slimy
and my favourite type is the green tree frog.

The jaguar is a member of the Feline family and
one of five "big cats" along with the tiger, the
lion, the leopard and the cheetah.

Kookaburra
Did you know that kookaburras live together in
the same family for 20 or more years
Kookaburras are cute birds that have a call that
sounds like a human laugh. Kookaburras eat
insects, small snakes, small mammals, some birds
and frogs.

Did you know male lions can grow to be 10 feet in
length
The lion is a mammal and a member of the feline
family and one of five big cats. The lion is the
second largest feline after the tiger. Males have
big bushy manes so it easy to tell male and
female apart

about 25 to 30cm tall!
Meerkats are little mammals that stand on their
hind legs to watch for predators.

The nurse shark is a harmless fish that lives at
the bottom of the ocean. Although its harmless if
its bothered it will bite. It has thousands of
tiny teeth.

There are over 60 different species of opossums,
which are often called possums. They are cute and
are fluffy. The length of an opossum from nose
to tail is 76cm.

Did you know that platypuses only weigh 1.4kg!
Platypuses are found in Australia only. They have
webbed feet and are brown. They can grow to be 38
cm long.

20 birds, called coveys.
The Quail is a common bird from the western USA.

The red panda has soft fur like their relative
the panda. They can normally grow to the size of
a house cat.

get whiter as they get older.
The ghost like snowy owl has unmistakable
beautiful white feathers. Females are darker than
males.

The Toto toucan lives in South American tropical

made it one of the world's most popular birds.

A viper is a venomous snake.

of south east Australia and one small part of
Queensland.
