Preemptive Safety Measures at the Workplace

Description:

This presentation from Creative Safety Supply is focused on taking preemptive safety precautions in the work place with the use of glow-in-the-dark items. These items extend from glow-in-the-dark tape, to exit arrows, emergency exit signs, yield signs, and caution signs. This is aimed at being prepared in the case of a power outage, emergency, and beyond. At the end of the day, the presentation is advocating for the idiom, “better safe than sorry.” – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Be Prepared!
  • You may be familiar with the 5 Steps to Success
or 5S, however, are you familiar with 6S? Its
the original 5 Steps, however, with 6S Safety has
become a focal point for responsible and
    comforting workplace practices which will
ultimately enhance the work experience and
    promote productivity and efficiency.

3
Glow-in-the-Dark-Tape
  • The most essential of all safety tapes is your
    standard roll of glow-in-the-dark tape.
  • Glow-in-the-Dark tape yields the most diversity
    in usage.
  • This can work well to outline important,
expensive, or dangerous objects or areas that can
be overlooked during night time or even during a
    power outage.
  • This can work well to highlight stairs or steps
that can otherwise go undetected in the dark.
  • Highlight pillars or columns that others may walk
into when light is nowhere to be found.

4
Glow Exit Arrows
  • Clearly point your workers and visitors towards
    safety.
  • This will help to create organization and flow
when there is a lack of light or complete
    darkness.
  • During an emergency, glowing arrows will help to
keep everyone calm which will in turn lower the
    risk of accidents taking place.
  • By placing arrows you can lead your employees and
guests to the nearest exit which can save time
and even save lives in case of an emergency.

5
Glow Watch Step
  • Critical to have if you have any steps in your
    facilities.
  • Will help in alerting your employees and guests
    of a potential hazard.
  • Kept at eye level so that it will not be missed.
  • Can work for steps, stairs, slippery surfaces,
    and even cluttered areas.
  • Catch more eyes by using customizable signs.

6
Glow Yield
  • A little heads up is never a bad thing.
  • Will instantly catch the eye as it is a very
    familiar sign.
  • Can be used both inside and outside of the
office, warehouse, or any other internal work
space. It can also be used on the external
portion of the facilities in order to ensure
further safety for your guests and employees.

Glow Emergency Exit
Show them the way!
  • When the lights go out, it is important that
people can find the emergency exits.
  • These can be put up at eye level or even
customized as exit floor signs. Customizable
sayings can also be applied if need be.
  • Having a clear understanding of where the exit
lies can be a time saver to someone walking
around in the dark. In the case of an emergency
it can also give calm and confidence to an
    anxious crowd.

and time again to act as great precautionary
measures. Completely affordable, it should be a
no-brainer to make use of these glow-in-the-dark
safety tools. As they say, its better to be
    safe than sorry., right?
