• CM- Similar to Apollo design but can hold 4-6
  crew members
• Uses combination of parachutes and airbags for
  recovery (Land)
• SM- Delta II upper stage using hypergolic
  propellants
• Built by Lockheed Martin Corp

• 10 times safer than shuttle due to Launch Abort
  System

• Apr 2009- First suborbital flight
• 2012- First unmanned flight in Earth Orbit
• Sept 2014- First manned flight
• 2020- First manned lunar landing
• 2020- Start planning for Mars missions
