- September 2008 National Strategy Planning
Conference - Facilitated teams of five discussed six
questions over 1.5 days - Teams were geographically diverse, representing
older adult services, social services, transit,
workforce development, education, healthcare,
tribal programs, and veterans affairs - Each team developed a PowerPoint of
recommendations for community-level mobility
solutions - Team presentations form the foundation of key
themes and goals of the ESPA strategic plan

- November 2008 National Stakeholder Outreach
Conference - Over 20 national organizations participated in
a one-day conference to review and provide
feedback on strategy planning recommendations - ESPA used the results of the 2008 conferences

Council on Independent Living (NCIL) - Train people with disabilities on mobility
management - Develop mentoring/coaching program to teach
mobility managers independent living concepts - Create a national network of people with
disabilities volunteers to further their direct
involvement with mobility management and local
transportation planning activities
