A Junior session will be held during the morning
and will be followed by a Senior session. Please
support this session. We hope to see as many
bodies as possible on the mat.
Entry forms for this championship (due to be held
on Sunday 8th November) have been included in the
distribution of this Newsletter. The format of
this event has been updated. Should you require
more copies of the entry form, please contact
Mark Walsh on 01282 451605. As mentioned in
previous newsletters, this is one of the areas
oldest events and we would like your support in
making this event a great day.

Entry forms for North West Senior Open
Championships which are due to be held on Sunday
31st January 1999 and the Under-10s Under-12s
North West Junior Championships (due to be held
on Sunday 29th November 1998) will be included in
Novembers newsletter. If you would like to
sponsor a weight category in the North West
Senior Open the cost is 30.00 for each Senior
Weight Category. For more information regarding
sponsorship, please contact Mark Walsh (01282

Owen Lowery
Junior Squad Training
A special Judo session with Neil Adams MBE has
been arranged for Sunday 4th October at Selwyn
Jones Sports Centre. Tickets for the event are
available from Dermot Heslop (01744 455457). All
proceeds will go towards the minibus appeal for
Owen Lowery.
The next Junior Squad Training session (boys
girls) will be held on Saturday 10th October at
Kendal Judo Centre starting at 1pm. For more
