Coursework is a combination of lectures and lab

- Graduates of this 32-credit-hour certificate
program are prepared to work as phlebotomists in
clinics, community health agencies and hospitals.
Students are taught how to safely collect blood
specimens from patients. They also learn
healthcare terminology and laboratory operating
procedures.
9- Required courses include healthcare law, anatomy
and physiology, algebra and healthcare
communication. A clinical practicum is also
required. Students can expect to complete this
program in about 1.5 years.
