Why is white tea EXPENSIVE?
Tea buds are meticulously hand plucked from the
Da Hao bushes during early spring with perfect
climate conditions.
Used buds are perfect, not too long and too thin.
Only the fully fleshed, robust bud is picked.

White Tea Processing
The buds will undergo an outdoor shaded
withering. It started on the bush, 3 weeks before
plucking, and continued after in the open air.
Buds are then moved indoors to complete
withering.

White tea flavor may differ if it is not made
from Fujian China.
Other white tea growers might not have the same
quality because
The Da Hao bush is not the same varietal grown
from Fujian.
A mixture of bud and leaves might be used and it
could have been processed using a 3-step process
rather than traditional 2-step process.

If you find the Fujian white tea so expensive,
you can try white tea made by other tea growers.
It has a more concentrated taste but less
expensive.

White tea is oxidized between 8-15. Most of the
oxidation occurs during the shaded withering of
the tea buds and a bit from indoor withering.
