Troop 761 At A Glance
  • Currently Troop 761 has 55 scouts and 44
registered adults, which includes 28 Assistant
    Scoutmasters
  • Our Charter Organization is Christian Fellowship
    Church
  • We meet here, at Christian Fellowship Church,
    700PM 830PM on Monday nights
  • Unlike what you are used to in Cub scouts, this
troop is boy run. Boy run means that you and
your peers decide what the troop does, when we do
it, and how (with help from the adults)

Troop Organization
  • The Troop is organized around Patrols (much like
your cub scout dens). These patrols operate
independently of one another, but remain
    connected as a unit
  • The Troop elects a Senior Patrol Leader, who in
turn appoints his Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
Together, they have the responsibility of
    leading the troop
  • Each patrol elects their own Patrol Leader who
    provides leadership to their patrol.
  • The Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior
Patrol Leader and the Patrol Leaders make up the
troops Patrol Leader Council, or PLC. The PLC
with the help of the Scoutmaster and Assistant
Scoumasters, plan out and execute the Troops
    program

ASM Assistant Scoutmasters work directly with
the scouts in each patrol

rafting, we go shotgun shooting, we have
lock-ins. We are the outing in Scouting.
  • Troop 761 participates in most District
sponsored events, such as the camporee,
    freeze-o-ree and Webelos-O-Ree.

Something To Think About
  • Over the next few weeks, you will be deciding
which Troop you would like to join.
  • Troops come in many different sizes and shapes,
some are more active, some less some are
survivalists, some prefer cabins some are big,
    some are small.
  • What is importantis that you pick the troop
    that fits you best.
