VASCULAR COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT DAY Tuesday 12th

Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) is an
umbrella term for the broad spectrum of cognitive
and behavioural disturbances that are associated
with vascular disease in the brain. Dementia
occurs in up to one third of elderly patients
with stroke and is often associated with
Alzheimers disease. Subcortical vascular
cognitive impairment and mild but significant
cognitive problems insufficient to be labelled as
dementia are even more common and
under-diagnosed. The Study Day will provide an
overview of the nature, causes and management of
VCI and is suitable for all health and social
care professionals working with older

In order to cover costs, it is hoped that all
attendees will contribute a 25.00 registration
fee, but this will be waived in case of
difficulty. (Invoice available on request).
