• This section of the training program will focus
  on checking travel publications and circulars for
  current information.

• If you dont just have just one group or target
  market that you are selling to but rather a
  couple of groups with different interests it
  makes sense to keep information in different
  files so that you readily access that
  information.

• Each section, or target market, of the tourism
  industry has different needs and wants.
• It is important if you want to be successful to
  understand who your customers are and anticipate
  what they want.

• Identify for each section, or target market, of
  the tourism industry
• who reports on events or attractions (magazines
  or newspapers etc)
• who organizes events (local businesses,
  exhibition centers etc)
• who promotes events or attractions

Keep a tidy file

• Make sure that you receive all the necessary
  information on a regular basis from tourist
  organizations. When you receive information you
  need to
• read it
• take notes on important points that you could use
  to either promote your business or offer valuable
  information to your clients
• share information with your work team
• keep all your information in a tidy file.

• After coming back from Saudi Arabia, Egyptian
  Minister of Tourism Mohmoud El-Beltagi said that
  the Egyptian tourism delegation was able during
  its four day visit to intensify Egyptian
  promotion and marketing operations in Riyadh and
  Jeddah, stating that the summer season will view
  a large increase of Saudi tourists visiting
  Egypt.
