Atlantic anti-cyclone To the south, due to
variations in pressure, Low pressure systems can
and do affect our area These tend to be in the
form of Cold fronts and frontal troughs moving to
the W to E They can bring the Pamperos (Violent
Squalls) astern of their track, their intensity
and duration vary wildly Most common depressions
are those that develop to the E and give the
phenomena known as Sudestadas (Strong SE winds)
with speeds up to storm force
