  • Entered contact information for organizations and
have been contacting them via e-mail

    added before

whether it is the URL, e-mail address or phone
    number of the nonprofits.
  • Share the network information if it's useful for
    more than one location.
  • Add comments
  • You are always able to modify the information of
    the network.

25
Handling Outreach Volunteers, a good perspective
  • Reason for doing outreach and learning which
    organizations to contact.
  • (Criterion to follow Site and Outreach Manual)
  • Learning to do outreach is simple and represents
a great chance to expand our boundaries worldwide
    using volunteers.
  • We can provide the training and assistance needed
and then gather whatever information volunteers
    may provide.
  • Brandons Experience.

26
A small brief about LA progress so far
  • LA is different from USA, therefore, it demands a
    different outreach strategy.
  • What do we know? A wide variety and number of
    NGOs in development process.
  • How does that affect the outreach? Its harder to
    get to them!
  • Then, why bother? The outreach may be essential
    for LA to develop more.
  • What could our strategy be? To be aware of LAs
    singularities and to work harder!

27
Looking into the Future
  • Outreach as a support team for other activities
in the organization such as Fairs, Conferences,
    newspaper Deals, etc
  • Continue doing Outreach in the US and Latin
    America and Europe.
  • Look for new destinations.
  • OT as part of the invitation campaign team
  • OT as part of the site support team (encourage
nonprofits to update their data and use our
    services)
