25Handling Outreach Volunteers, a good perspective
- Reason for doing outreach and learning which
organizations to contact. - (Criterion to follow Site and Outreach Manual)
- Learning to do outreach is simple and represents
a great chance to expand our boundaries worldwide
using volunteers. - We can provide the training and assistance needed
and then gather whatever information volunteers
may provide. - Brandons Experience.
26A small brief about LA progress so far
- LA is different from USA, therefore, it demands a
different outreach strategy. - What do we know? A wide variety and number of
NGOs in development process. - How does that affect the outreach? Its harder to
get to them! -
- Then, why bother? The outreach may be essential
for LA to develop more. - What could our strategy be? To be aware of LAs
singularities and to work harder!
27Looking into the Future
- Outreach as a support team for other activities
in the organization such as Fairs, Conferences,
newspaper Deals, etc - Continue doing Outreach in the US and Latin
America and Europe. - Look for new destinations.
- OT as part of the invitation campaign team
- OT as part of the site support team (encourage
nonprofits to update their data and use our
services)
