Educational PhilosophyI believe that all
children have the ability to learn. They all have
the ability to succeed in whatever they put their
minds to. I believe in positive reinforcement and
that it is important to establish a relationship
with students.

• I have been married to Jeremy for 10 years
• I have two kids-Davis(8) and Anna Grace(5)
• I went to college at GSU
• I received my Masters at Troy University
• I received my EdS at Augusta State University

Consequences

• We have a pocket chart with each students name
  on it. Each student has three cards behind their
  name.
• Green card
• Yellow card
• Red card

• Green card-smiley face
• Yellow card-straight face (five minute time out)
• Red card-sad face (ten minute time out)

Rewards

• Green card all week or one yellow card for the
  week-students get to visit the treasure box on
  Friday
• Success chain-we earn links for our chain for
  good behavior and have a class popcorn party when
  it touches the floor

Arrival Procedures

• Students will make lunch choice
• Students will put in attendance
• Students will unpack book bag and put folder in
  slot
• Students will do table tops/morning work

Dismissal Procedures

• Students will pack up folders and book bags
• Walkers will dismiss first
• Daycare bus riders-to cafeteria
• Pavillion kids-dismiss to covered picnic tables

• All buses are dismissed by the office staff at

Car Line Procedures

• Each car must have a visor card with the
  child/childrens name on it
• The children may not leave the sidewalk to come
  to the car until the car is right beside the
  dismissal line
• Teachers and para-professional will help open and
  close the doors

Absences

• Students need to bring in a note from home or
  doctor to be excused from an absence
• 10 unexcused absences will be reported to the
  Columbia County Police Department

School Lunch

• Breakfast-1.00 Lunch-2.00
• Your child may bring a lunch each day or purchase
  a lunch from the cafeteria
• Breakfast is served each day from 8-830.

Office Sign In/Out Procedures

• Every visitor to EES must sign in and out in the
  office
• Use the lap top on the front desk to create a
  visitor name tag
• Use the same lap top at the front desk to sign
  out
• You may be asked to show your ID

Playground Rules

• Slide down the slide/do not climb up the slide
• Leave sticks on the ground
• Swing on your bottom
• Stay on playground

PTO

• Each class has a competition to see who can have
  the most families join PTO
• PTO membership fee15
• PTO is always in need of volunteers for upcoming
  events. A sign up sheet will come home within the
  first couple of weeks

School Wide Discipline Plan

• 1.We have a success chain that hangs at the front
  of the school.
• Each class earns links for good behavior and when
  the class turns in their chain the school chain
  gets a link
• When the school chain touches the floor the whole
  school gets to celebrate ie. wear hats, wear pjs,
  eat ice cream
• 2.We have a hallway and cafeteria rubric that is
  used to grade the students in the halls and
  lunchroom.
• The students are read the rubrics and they are
  explained to them at the beginning of the year.
• Teachers or the principals can pull out the
  rubrics to use on a class at anytime
• The class is given feedback on how they were
  doing
