Eskay Creek
BOWSER
- The Orion property is situated within the Late
Jurassic Eskay Creek Rift characterized by
occurrences of basaltic lava and pillow lava
flows typical of rift settings. This narrow belt
contains scores of mineral deposits including
the most famous producing mines of the Stewart
region - Eskay Creek
- Granduc
- Premier
- Hidden Creek (Anyox)
- As well as basalt flows, the Orion Property
features very well developed flow banded
rhyolites, similar to the rhyolites associated
with the very rich Eskay Creek deposit.

5Geology Stratigraphy
The Orion property is located ca. 40 km NNE of
Stewart, BC. It is under-lain by volcanic and
sedimentary rocks of the Mesozoic Stuhini and
Hazelton Groups. The layered rocks are intruded
by several granitoid to dioritic stocks of
Mesozoic and Cenozoic age. The area hosts
numerous broad zones of sericite-clay alteration
and silicification. Several elements of the
classic Eskay Creek stratigraphy are present on
the property.

6Land of Great Potential
The Orion property has had only minor exploration
to date. The long, north-south elongate nunatak
in the NE portion of the property displays
repetitions of stratigraphic horizons the felsic
units of the Mt. Dilworth Formation (usually
characterized by strong gossans rich in pyrite
and other sulfides and which locally host Au-As
mineralization) are overlain by fine carbon-rich
sediments of the Salmon River Formation (Foto)
and underlain by andesitic volcanogenic
rocks. The property includes several other
claims underlain partly by Eskay-type
lithologies basalts, flow banded rhyolites,
breccias and associated fine-grained sediments.
