Title: Prison Ministry Paradigm Shift
1Prison Ministry Paradigm Shift
2- In the past we focused on a high touch
ministry that sought to touch as many inmates as
possible through Bible studies, seminars, special
programs and the like.
3- Now God is calling us to go deep in the lives of
men and women who desire to see their lives
transformed by the power of Christ. -
4- We want to work with those who are ready to
allow the Spirit of God to change them from the
inside out in such a way that they are able to
live victorious Christian lives that allow them
to not only break the cycle of recidivism but
become active ambassadors for God in their
communities.
5- We understand that for this to happen we must
move away from a program oriented and activity
based ministry that centers on the completion of
a series of materials or attendance at various
events and embrace a whole new paradigm for
ministry.
6- We are no longer interested in just providing a
smorgasbord of programs that are checked off in
a sporadic fashion. - We are strategically providing a holistic menu
of ministry solutions through communities of care
that meet the deep needs of an individual on
their journey of transformation and
reconciliation.
7- Our goal is to facilitate TDR by discovering,
training, networking and encouraging a community
of care that supports an inmate and their family
on their journey to spiritual maturity,
fruitfulness and integration back into society. - Though various studies and materials may be used
along the journey, this is to be relationally
based and not program orientedmeasured by
objective outcomes and not just activities.

Life-On-Life - We see ourselves uniquely positioned to be able
to facilitate, build, equip and network
communities of care that will partner with
inmates and their families along the TDR Journey
15Collaboration
- We CANNOT do this ourselves
- We must collaborate with others
