Points to Remember
  • Set a positive tone for the meeting
  • Parents should always be encouraged to
    participate
  • The IEP reflects FAPE and LRE
  • The IEP must be in effect at the beginning of the
    school year for eligible students
  • If the student is to turn 14 that year, invite
    that student to the meeting
  • The process should be outcome oriented
  • Appoint some one the IEP meeting leader

    inclusion class include on the IEP if that is
    included on the present levels page
  • You may split the time between two schools years
    if you know the students program for the
    following school year. The IEP is for 365 days.
  • Inclusion hours count as SpED hours even if they
    are in the regular program.
  • List Inclusion assistants as Inclusion time.
