Ice Sheets
  • The ice that covers Antarctica is actually a part
of an Ice Sheet. Some parts of the Ice Sheet are
    over 2 miles thick .
  • So how does a huge piece of ice move?
  • The base of the Ice Sheet moves over land. It
actually moves very slowly grinding against
mountains, valleys, and carrying rocks down hill
    as it goes

the coastline and onto the ocean surface.
