2What is Won Ton?

- Won Ton is a delicious traditional Chinese food.
- Won Ton is Cantonese.
- In Mandarin, it is called Hun Tun.
- With different fillings, such as pork, shrimps or
vegetables, Won Ton can be made to meet various
tastes.

4Filling Preparation
Two pounds of Chinese Cabbage.
Some green onion.
A small piece of ginger.
Wrappers, 14 oz.
Several mushrooms.
One pound of mince pork.
5- Put the cabbage into boiling water for about 40
seconds.
6- Fritter green onion, mushroom and ginger. Put
them with ground pork and frittered cabbage. Add
an egg into it to soften the filling.
- Add 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp vegetable oil, 1/4 tsp
sugar and 1 tsp wine. Mix them together.
7- Won Ton wrappers can be hand-made by ourselves or
purchased in a Chinese supermarket.
8- Put a dish of water at hand.
- Prepare a clean, dry plate. And scatter some
flour at the bottom. Everything is ready!
9 Food Processing
A. Put some filling on a wrapper.
B. Wet the edges of the wrapper.
C. Fold the wrapper.
D. Stick the two ends of the wrapper together.
E. Done!

11Cooking
B. Boil a skillet of water.
A. Put several pieces of laver in a bowel. Add
some salt and sesame oil.
C. Pour some boiling water into the bowl. And
then put Won Ton into the Skillet. When the water
boils, add some cold water into it. When it boils
again, the Won Ton is ready!
