Resets

• Soft Reset
• Generally all you will have to use
• Will NOT affect your data as long as your
  batteries are good
• Press the reset button with reset tool or a paper
  clip

• Removes problem software
• Press Up Scroll Button and press reset button
• Release Up Scroll Button when Palm Computing logo
  appears
• If you cannot turn on Beam Receive in General
  Preferences it was successful
• Next perform soft reset

• WILL delete your data
• Hold power button and press reset button. Next,
  press Up Scroll button to finish hard reset. Any
  other button will perform a soft reset
• Do not perform unless soft and system resets have
  failed

AvantGo

• Systems will install software
• Go to www.avantgo.com and register for service.
  Select channels.
• Once you are registered for channels, you can go
  to a list, then tell it whether or not to include
  images, how often to sync, and other relevant info

Errors

• Synchronization Error
• Most common error
• Viewing the log generally reveals the problem
• View Log
• Option comes up when Error Message pops up
• Hot Sync gt View Log
• Generally caused by 2 updated files trying to
  overwrite each other
