  species have different adaptations that help them
  survive and reproduce in their environments.

The Octopus

• Has 8 legs with suction cups
• Changes colors of skin to hide
• Ejects poisonous ink to paralyze or kill predators

Dolphins

• Use clicking noises to communicate
• Have cone-shaped teeth
• Breathe through their blowhole

Sea Turtle

• Live in warm waters only
• Bury the baby eggs in the sand until they hatch
• Can grow to up to 1200 pounds

• Has a gray, leathery type of skin
• Lose their teeth often, but grows new teeth in
  very fast
• Has a good sense of smell

• Has skin layered in blubber
• Does not have any bones in its body
• Releases water through its blowhole when it
  exhales

Sting Ray

• Live in shallow bodies of water
• Has a body in the shape of a diamond
• Has a stinger to protect itself from other
  predators

Tropical Fish

• Are relatively small in size
• All have vibrant colors, unlike other fish of the
  seas
• Adult tropical fish eat their young

The Seahorse

• Lives near the shore in shallow waters
• Has a head that resembles that of a real horse
• The males keep the eggs before hatching
