Where are we going?

• Day 1  -  Fly overnight to Germany
• Day 2  - Arrive in MunichTake a walking tour of
  Munich. See Frauenkirche, Neues Rathaus
  Hofbräuhaus
• Day 3  - Take a guided tour of Munich
• Olympic Stadium, Residenz, Marienplatz. Visit
  DachauOptional Neuschwanstein Castle
• Day 4  -  Venice. Travel via Innsbruck to Venice
  
• Day 5  -  Take a guided tour of Venice. See St.
  Marks Square, Grand Canal, Visit the Doges
  Palace and see a glass-blowing demonstration
• Days 6-7  -  Travel via Verona to Lucerne. Take a
  tour of Lucerne. See Löwendenkmal and
  Kapellbrücke. Optional Mount Pilatus and

Passports and visas

• Valid passports are required for all travellers
• Passports can take up to 6 to 8 weeks to process
• Passport name changes must be submitted to EF no

Neuschwanstein Castle (Cost 60)

• Meaning "New Swan Stone Palace" is a
  19th-century Bavarian palace on a rugged hill
  near Hohenschwangau and Füssen in southwest
  Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by
  Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as a homage
  to Richard Wagner, the King's inspiring muse.
  Although public photography of the interior is
  not permitted, it is the most photographed
  building in Germany and is one of the country's
  most popular tourist destinations.King Ludwig
  II did not allow visitors to his castles, but
  since its opening in 1886, over 50 million people
  have visited the Neuschwanstein Castle. About 1.3
  million people visit annually, with up to 6,000
  per day in the summer. The palace has appeared
  in several movies, and was the inspiration for
  Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park.

Mount Pilatus (Cost 70)

• Pilatus is a mountain near Lucerne, Switzerland.
  The top can be reached with the Pilatus Railway,
  the worlds steepest cogwheel railway operating
  from May to November (depending on snow
  conditions), and the whole year with the aerial
  panorama gondolas and aerial cableways from
  Kriens. Pilatus has the longest track in
  Switzerland (0.88 miles or 1,350 m) and the
  biggest suspension rope park in Central
  Switzerland.

Things to expect

• Students will room in pairs or quads, depending
  upon the hotel. These rooms are gender specific
  (boys or girls only)
• The food and culture is different. Students have
  to be prepared to go with the flow of the tour,
  which can be both hectic and changing.
• This is a SCHOOL trip and thus the rules that
  govern students at Millwood also govern them
  while we are away (i.e. no drinking, no drugs, no
  smoking, etc). Consequences for breach of rules
  can include monetary fines on the trip,
  suspensions when returned to school or being sent
  home.
• Chaperones will be Millwood High staff members
