Thanksgiving
  • It is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November
    every single year
  • The very first Thanksgiving happened in 1621
  • On June 20, 1676 they had a meeting and said that
    June 29th was going to be a day of Thanksgiving

What is Thanksgiving For?
  • On this day we give thanks for all that we have
  • We remember the big feast that the Pilgrims and
    the Native Americans shared with each other

  • Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on the 2nd Monday
    in October
  • Jewish Families celebrate a harvest festival
    Sukkuth each autumn
  • The Chinese celebrate their harvest festival,
    Chung Chui, with the full moon on the 15th day
    in the 8th month
