• I am Luis Gonzalez. I am currently attending
  William Blount Middle School in Maryville,
  Tennessee, but my life began in a whole different
  place.

My culture is so much different then what it is
here. My language, my heritage, and my people are
nothing like this. My country is so much more
different than this. Mexico.

My Family
My family has been, are, and will remain a very
important part of my life for ever to come. They
have always supported me in all my crazy and wild
ideas. They have raised me the way I am.

My Mother
My mom has been both my mother and father ever
since I was only a year old. She is my
inspiration and motivation because of her
outrageous strength and courage.

My Grandparents
My grandparents live in a town called El Rubi
that is part of the Mecayapan municipal. They own
a huge ranch with lots of animals and space.

Veracruz

• Veracruz is 1 of 32 states in Mexico.
• Located southeast along the Gulf of Mexico, its
  varied temperature present a warm tropical
  climate perfect for a nice vacation at the beach.
  
• Veracruz is most definitely the place to be.

Luis Donaldo Colosio

• The day before I was born a fellow by the name of
  Luis Danaldo Colosio was assassinated.
• Sure to be the next president of Mexico, Luis
  Donaldo Colosio, was shot in the head on March
  23, 1994, in Tijuana, Baja California.

• People thought it was because he really was going
  to make a change and the criminals and the gangs
  were threatened by him.
• Every year my mom reminds me of the fact that he
  was assassinated the day before I was born.

Similarities

• It is an honor to share the same name with such
  an important and noble man.
• He was going to make a difference in my country.
• After his death Mexico had to reelect a new
  president, but nothing changed.
