Keyboarding Practice Skills

• Home Keys Excellent keyboarding skills are
  demonstrated by using correct finger placement of
  the home keys ASDF JKL

• Posture Sitting with body erect, elbows in a
  L-position, keyboard centered with the middle of
  the body, feet flat on the floor, and using the
  keyboarding skin on the keyboard, this student
  attentively reads and quietly works on his lesson.

• Practice Students move through a series of
  reviews, practices and exercises 15 to 20 minutes
  each week.

• Microsoft Word is used to write creative stories,
  poems, letters and other word processing
  assignments.
• Word Art colorfully enhances a project title.
• Clip Art inserts pictures from the clip art menu
  to a word document.

  about Rancho La Brea tar pits in the heart of Los
  Angeles. This is home to three million fossils
  from the last ice age. One of the worlds most
  famous fossil sites

• Technology Workshop
• The workshop included 4 mini sessions on how to
  use district technology resources. Oceano Staff
  learned about
• File management for teachers - H-drive, S-drive,
  GroupWise E-mail System
• ETC Portal Resources - Thompson Gale Online
  Library, United Streaming (teaching through the
  use of educational videos) Digital Math, Marco
  Polo
• Student file management - Instructional ideas,
  Computer Lab Management
• School Center - Creating a web page for your
  classroom.
