Roll Out on Disrespect

• What? 38 of all ODRs occur in the
  Disrespect/Defiance/Insubordination/Non-Compliance
  category
• When? Quarter 3 (9 weeks)
• How? Teach, Reinforce, Remind
• Who? UT, Administration, Students
• Why? To achieve goal of reducing ODRs in the
  Disrespect category by 20 at the end of the roll
  out period.

• Students from the Universal Team suggested peers
  should teach expectations
• Students presented plan to faculty
• Groups of students entered every classroom with a
  script and list of items to cover.

Roll Out - Results

• Helped in building a sense of COMMUNITY!
• The activity day was a great day to expand
  relationships and for students and faculty to see
  each other in a different light. It allowed all
  involved to exhibit a different dimension of
  their personalities- student and faculty alike.

Intensive Services

• APEX II Facilitator worked with 2 students using
  intensive Renew Services
• With the Universal Team well established we hope
  to focus on providing more services at this level
• Currently working with administration on
  sustainability of this level.

Student Leadership Group

• Started Student Leadership Group in January
• Met bi-weekly
• Surveyed students and faculty about their
  perceptions of our school climate
• Began discussing about possible initiatives for
  8th to 9th grade transition led to summer UT
  team activity

• Over 79 of students feel physically safe at
  school, but only 47 feel emotionally safe.
• Only 36 of students agree that students are
  willing to step forward and help when they see
  others getting picked on or harassed.
