• Dual Enrollment at Brevard Community College
• Classes taught at BCC campus (Cocoa, Melbourne,
  Titusville)
• Students may begin the summer following 9th grade
• Transportation to BCC is parent/student
  responsibility
• Student may NOT be on Edgewood campus when
  scheduled for Dual Enrollment
• BCC professors, no contact by Edgewood
  Administrators
• BCC calendar for Spring Break, exams, etc.
• College credit earned when course is passed

• Dual Enrollment at Brevard Community College
• These are challenging college-level courses
• The students are expected to be self-directed
• Many times other students in the class are adults
• Choose carefully!
• Dropping a class after the first week is not
  permitted
• Brevard County Schools pay for all tuition and
  books!!!

• May be accepted as elective rather than
  requirement
• Not necessarily accepted out-of-State

• Course Eligibility GPA, College entry test
  scores
• 3.0 GPA with college level scores choice of
  academic courses
• 3.0 GPA without college level scores limited
  academic courses
• 2.5 GPA -- limited choice of courses from AS
  Degree or Certificate Programs
• Examples Business, Crime Scene Tech, some
  Education, Intro to Health Care, Computers,
  Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
• EXCELLENT SOURCE FOR ALTERNATE ELECTIVE
  CHOICES!!

• Early Admissions or Full Time Dual Enrollment at
  Brevard Community College
• Senior Year only! Students must declare interest
  and discuss with counselor the Summer before
  Junior Year. Later may be possible depending on
  credits but sooner is better to meet high school
  course requirements.
• Full-time college schedule (all year or one
  semester)
• Student remains under Edgewood requirements.
