3Selecting a college
- This depends on many factors. Even if you decide
not to go to college immediately after high
school, still explore and apply. You will most
likely go to college at sometime anyway, so it
will be a good experience to go through the
process, get recommendations and check all the
options. Many colleges will give you a deferred
entry for a year. What school you pick depends
on your own preferences in the following areas - Location- Minnesota, Midwest, East .

5University of Minnesota System
- More graduates from Minneapolis attend the
University than other school. - Unfortunately, many students apply only to
Duluth, if they live there, or to the
Minneapolis campus, if that would be their home.
Just because everyone else goes there and its
in your hometown, doesnt necessarily make it a
good fit. You owe it to yourself to check out
more than one school. - Many students are better served at a MNSCU two or
four year college. Perhaps it would be better to
start there and then transfer to the University
system in your final two years. Do keep an open
mind.
