College Applications

• Obtain application
• All Applications Require Official Transcripts be
  mailed
• Note and follow deadlines
• Complete application and return to guidance with
  transcript release form
• Allow 5-10 working days for processing
• Read everything very carefully as each school
  does things differently

On-Line Applications

• More colleges prefer that you apply on-line.
• Make sure to print the counselor page and bring
  to guidance with the transcript release form
• If there is no counselor page to print, fill out
  the transcript request form.

General Rule of Thumb

• The higher the GPA the sooner you should apply
  merit money is available
• Research and apply first semester
• 3 to 5 colleges
• Scholarship and financial aid second semester

• Take SAT or ACT and use the code 9999 to have
  your official scores sent directly to the
  Eligibility Center.
• Apply on Line
• www.ncaaclearinghouse.net
• Complete the Amateurism Certification
• Get a Pin Number
• Complete application, following the instructions
• 16 core (32 credits) required
• Return two high school forms to Mrs. Haugk in Rm.
  144 for further processing of transcripts
