Elements of Financial Aid
Bylaw 15.1.3 (reduction when excess aid is
awarded)
My financial aid will cover the following
NCAA regulations restrict the total amount of
financial aid a student-athlete can receive. If
I receive a federal grant (i.e., Pell) or some
other scholarship or financial aid (including
earnings from a job during a term), I will notify
the financial aid office and athletics
department. These funds may replace a portion of
my athletics grant to meet NCAA and Yellow Brick
University regulations. I understand that
approval of any scholarship aid is subject to
final review of my academic records.
19
Elements of Financial Aid
  • Institutional aid must be decreased if award is
    greater than full grant-in-aid.
  • Non refundable funds are not the students
    obligation.
  • Bylaw 15.1.3

20
Institution-Specific Regulations
  • Institutions may include nonathletically related
    conditions.
  • For example
  • Personal conduct, appearance and dress, both on
and off the Yellow Brick campus, and accepted
uniform for athletics contests, when such
violations bring discredit to the athletics
    program.
  • Failure to adhere to training room regulations.

Official Interpretation 6/24/08

    sport.
  • I accept money for playing in an athletics
contest that causes me to exceed the cost of a
    full grant.
  • I agree to be represented by an agent and accept
money that causes me to exceed the cost of a full
    grant.
  • I receive other aid that causes me to exceed my
