- Test Item Location update, Voice/Video call
- Objective MT call test for out-bound roamer
15Roaming Test Result
- Average measurement values
16Sharing Experience
- Inter-Working Test between Core Networks
- IOT of LGE UE and Ericsson RAN
- Bearer Capability for Video Call
17Sharing Experience (Inter-working test)
- Inter-working test between CNs
- UDT and XUDT of authentication vectors
- Case when requesting send-authentication-informa
tion - LGE-HLR sends authentication vectors with XUDT
format, but Ericsson-HLR sends authentication
vectors with UDT format - So, VLR received only one authentication vector
in case that Segment indicator configuration of
the message is off - Segment indicator parameter was changed
to receive 5 Authentication vectors - It could be happened between operators have
different message transfer unit
Send-authentication-info ( segment off)
MSC/VLR (LGE)
HLR (Ericsson)
1 authentication vector
Send-authentication-info ( segment on)
5 authentication vector
18Sharing Experience (Inter-working test)
- Parameter sequence of abort message
- At first, not recognized by LGE MSC/VLR.
- LGE are currently compatible with two cases.
19Sharing Experience (IOT of UE)
- IOT of LGE UE and Ericsson RAN
- Both voice and video calls were successful in
first attempt - ? However, some bearer capability s/w
patch for video call was required - Long initial Cell searching time
- Due to large 60MHz spectrum range (2110 2170
MHz) and small search raster (200kHz) ? Longer
delay than GSM/CDMA - After initial search, subsequent searches were
quickly made - Need to optimize cell searching algorithm in MS
for roamers to reduce cell search time - Ciphering integrity function
- CI function was switched off due to a
non-support by LGE Handset with Qualcomm chipset
and s/w AMSS 3.0 - To be supported by Qualcomm AMSS 5.0 within this
year
20Sharing Experience (BC of Video call )
- Bearer Capability for video call
- PLMN BC of MS and MSC
- MS and MSC were configured with different
Parameters - Rate adaptation(11) and Other Rate adaptation(
01) were changed (reference TS24.008, TS27.001) -
-
21Sharing Experience (BC of Video call )
- Bearer Capability for video call
- Translation of PLMN BC ? ISDN BC
- No problem due to exchange of the BC information
- Reference 3GPP TS29.007, TS23.910
-
22Other Issues
- VT call between 3G and 2G (GSM/CDMA)
- Results in an abrupt call disconnection
- ? Announcement of terminating MSs VT
unavailability needs to be provided to
originating MS - ? Or, automatic service re-negotiation
for voice call - IREG Test document update is needed for new 3G
services - Video Telephony
- Location service
- GPRS services (VOD, SMS, etc.)
