• It was written for our learning (Rom. 154)
• The fact that Jesus quoted from Deuteronomy in
  all three temptations is significant (Matt. 44,
  7, 10)
• If Jesus used it in His fight against Satan,
  should not we?

8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience
by the things which He suffered. 9 And having
been perfected, He became the author of eternal
salvation to all who obey Him
