What is Deregulation?
Customers in many areas now have the right to
choose which energy company they obtain their gas
and electrical service from. Prime
Opportunities Inc. has chosen Tiger Natural Gas
And Glacial Energy to partner with in PGE, SoCal
and SDGE areas. We are a complete Energy
Management Company. We offer Energy Consumption
Reduction Programs and then lower their Energy
rate to save them more. There are 17 states that
are deregulated in the US.

Senate Bill 695
On October 11, 2009, Governor Schwarzenegger
signed Senate Bill (SB) 695, the Ratepayer
Protection Act (the Act), into law. The Act
will, among other things, allow a phase-in for
nonresidential end-use customers to purchase
electricity directly from non utility sources.
The phased-in restoration of so-called Direct
Access or Customer Choice electricity
purchasing offers the potential for industrial
and commercial customers to secure an important
business advantage by locking in favorable
electricity rates from non utility suppliers.

to be determined per sales contract. You can

When do you get paid? Typically it will
take around 90 days to get paid. Sometimes it
may take a bit longer depending on when the
customer pays their bill.

The Sales Process
Hello can I speak the person in charge of your
utility bills? Is the Facility manager
available? I would like to speak to the owner
about lowering their rate on power. All we need
to get started is a copy of your utility bill and
I can show what you will be saving every
month. There is no cost to be involved in the
program but we do need to take action quickly to
insure your place in the allotment. Do you know
any other businesses that could take advantage of
this?

Sell Savings Not Cost
Ask if you can show them a way to save money by
lowering the rate that they will pay for Natural
Gas Electrical Services. Can you have ten
minutes of their time?
Explain to your customers that we are a supply
vendor for the utility company and the saving is
passed on to the customer and that they will
still get a bill from their utility company but
at a lower rate through us. The utilities do not
make money on reselling energy, they make money
on distribution of the energy.
There is no cost to the customer to enroll in
the Direct Access Services.
There is no interruption in service just lower
energy rates.
They still pay their utility provider and still
call them for any outages or problems. We are a
behind the scenes supplier to the utility
company.
