CITE Lab services and Tools

• CITE Lab is Open 89 Hours a week
• All CITE Staff can assist with basic FrontPage
  operations and portfolio design
  
• Advanced training may be scheduled with Tim Rosas
  
  
• CITE lab computers provide direct connection to
  the Viking Server

• Viking is the CITE lab student web server that
  hosts all College of Education enrolled students
  web sites/portfolios.
  
• Students working in the CITE lab log on to
  Viking
  
• Students may use SecureShell to access Viking
  from remote sites

Microsoft FrontPage

• CITE Lab uses FrontPage as its default Web
  Editor.
  
• FrontPage creates web documents through common
  Microsoft Word-like tools and methodology.
  
• Viking and Endeavor are FrontPage web servers.

• Web design is based on serving your audience (its
  not art).
  
• Common Folder architecture (starting with
  Homepage).
  
• Use Tables and a template.
• What are Index, tables, hyperlinks, navigation,
