Environment
  • College tuition has increased 40 nationally
    since 2001 the average college student
    graduates with 17,500 debt
  • Spellings Commission (2006) there is ample
    evidence that qualified young people from
    families of modest means are far less likely to
    go to college than their affluent peers with
    similar qualifications.
  • 85 of U.S. citizens graduate from high school,
    fewer than 30 graduate from college (in
    Illinois, African-Americans 77 15, Latinos 76
    9)
  • Minority enrollments at residential campuses are
    unacceptably low - In Illinois, 35 of
    African-Americans and 43 of Latinos who begin
    college finish in 6 years

    expanding educational opportunities for
    non-traditional learners, UI residential students
    and UI alumni

land-grant heritage and mission.

    with BoT policies and State/Federal law

  • The recommended Global Campus teaching model
    involves a Master Teacher supervising other
    instructors
