Laurie Mitchell I work at University of Redlands
in California, and am director of the Accounting
Program. I teach introductory financial,
auditing and financial statement analysis. AIS is
totally new for me. Fun Facts

• I have spent my entire academic career at liberal
  arts colleges. Before that, I was at KPMG and in
  enforcement and the Chief Accts Office at the
  SEC.
• I am married to Chris, an early retiree from
  Deloitte Touche, who now serves on a number of
  corporate boards of directors. I talked him
  into teaching a course for UR next yearam
  looking forward to being his boss.
• I have two kids, Katie, a rising high school
  senior (augh!) and Max, a 13-year old soccer
  player. Two dogs too.
• I love to read, play golf poorly, and have a list
  of house projects a mile long.
• I am passionate about personal financial literacy
  and am developing a course called Finance for
  the Liberal Artist that includes PFP and finance
  for NFPs and small businesses.

  to imitate real tigers.

  higher education (my Ph.D.) and counseling and
