El Imperfecto 1

• Describes habitual or repeated actions or events
  in the past
• Llegaba temprano muy a menudo.
• He arrived early very often.
• El sol brillaba por las mañanas.
• The sun shone in the mornings.

• Describes simultaneous actions in the past
• Cenaba mientras miraba la tele.
• He was eating dinner while he watched TV.
• Leía mientras escuchaba música.
• I was reading while listening to music.
