Where does PAHO stand on the MDGs?
- Emphasize the equity challenge,
- Going beyond awareness and advocacy to
ownership and critical intervention at
the local level - Shift from focusing on poor countries to poor
peoples - Where inequity and poverty are most frankly
expressed. - Concentrate efforts on the most vulnerable
municipalities - Agreement ECLAC/CELADE for sub national mappings.
- Work on all the MDGs from the health perspective,
- understanding the principle of indivisibility
and synergy - in community work.
