Prototype RAVEN Project
  • Focus on 3 species for years 2001 to 2003
  • Mourning Doves (MODO)
  • Black-chinned Hummingbirds (BCHU)
  • House Finches (HOFI)
  • Hot spot in relatively same place all 3 years
  • Doesnt appear to be correlated spatially with
    parks, arroyos, etc.
  • Very different distribution from HOFI and BCHU

GOALS
  • Work with existing data collection, storage,
retrieval, and analysis systems to develop a
    database and GIS for WRI
  • Design, develop, and implement sophisticated
    multi-user database, including web applications
    and customized environments
  • Conduct surveys, field work, other data-gathering
and research activities to provide supplemental
    info

11
RAVEN Project Course
GOALS
  • Using database and GIS, research, investigate,
and perform experiments with WRI dataset
