Introduction

• Poly-dimethylsiloxanes (PDMS) is characterized by
  high hydrophobicity ,flexibility and low
  variation,but mechanical properties are poor.
• Tests for temporal control of water release has
  been attempted by using stimuli responsive
  amphoteric gels.
• This paper presents the synthesis of amphyphilic
  copolymers and studies their properties as water
  delivery systems as a response to the decreasing
  humidity in atmosphere.

Conclusions

• This paper presents the synthesis and the
  structural characterzation of hydrophobic-hydrophi
  lic gels built from PDMS and PMMA sequences.
• The water delivery tests were performed and the
  possibility to use amphyphilic copolymer as
  systems to mention humidity in soil is discussed.
