  research of organizations of all types.
• Special focus is put on newcomers and SMEs,
  including organizations from New Member States
  (NMS), associated Candidate Countries (ACC) and
  INCO countries.

Partner Search

• Objectives
• Provide a ICT Call-Specific partner search
  facility, with special focus on facilitating the
  participation of SME and less experienced
  organizations
• Contribute to increase the quality of those
  proposals finally submitted and hence the chances
  to funded
• Contribute to the training within the ideal-ist
  network of those less experienced NCPs
• Provide accurate statistics on the use and
  effectiveness of the partner search mechanism and
  its impact in terms of proposals retained for
  funding.

Partner Search

• Looking for partners?
• The Proposer must subscribe first to the
  ideal-ist portal
• Then he/she is allowed to fill in the PS form
  (research area, brief description of project
  idea, expertise, type and role of partners
  sought)
• National Representative QM team check the
  proposal
• In case the proposal is finally approved by NR it
  is published on the ideal-ist portal and
  distributed in all partner countries
• Interested organizations contact the Proposer by
  filling in the corresponding Standard Reply Form
• Anonymity is possible... Proposers contact
  details will not be public
• The Proposer is able to manage all responses and
  contact back the interested organizations using
  his/her own private administration pages
  (Response Management Tool).

• FP6 statistics
• Period June 2005 September 2006
• 12.6 of bids submitted to different FP6 IST
  calls were initiated through the ideal-ist PS
  facility from 28 different countries (44 PSs in
  FP6)
• An average of 36 responses per PS were registered
• 4.3 partners per submitted proposal were found by
  means of ideal-ist
• 14 increase of PSs becoming submitted proposals
  due to the Quality check introduced during this
  period.

Support for Specific Target Regions

• Main objective
• Active support of experienced ideal-ist partners
  from MS/NMS towards the WBC/NIS/MPC in order to
  enhance the ST cooperation through FP7 ICT
  projects.
• Support actions
• Presentation of project facilities at national
  events and thematic workshops/ conferences in
  NIS/WBC/MPC
• Mentoring / Twinning activities, training
  sessions for ICT research organizations
• Organizing working visits of NIS/WBC/MPC partners
  in the premises of experienced MS/NMS partners

Networking and International Coperation

• Objectives
• Cooperate with other ICT support initiatives
• Develops a global network of knowledgeable ICT
  NCP and INCO ICT contacts
• Supports cooperation (knowledge, best practices
  and document sharing) with concerned
  stakeholders, including EC
• Support actions
• Motivate other ICT related SSA and international
  organizations using ideal-ist PS
• Provide a new Service Search to ICT clients
• Proactive collaboration with NCP from other
  priority themes in FP7
• Further develop the ICT NCP Network towards ICT
  relay organisations in other countries (e.g.
  China, India)

• Objectives
• Promotion of and information on ideal-ist
  services and ICT opportunities within the
  European ICT community
• Support of proposers at international events on
  ICT proposals, ICT projects and related partner
  searches
• Support actions
• Ideal-ist portal, press work, various promotion
  materials
• Presentation at EC Infodays, brokerage events
• Participation in ICT international conferences
