What Is The Work Of Deacons?

• Nature seen in the terminology Deacons
• Diakonos One who executes the commands of
  another especially of a master
• Used to describe others and what they did (Mat.
  411 John 25 Romans 161 I Tim. 46)
• Servants of others - Especially in physical
  matters
• Duties would vary greatly depending on needs
• Outside qualifications, few guidelines - Much is
  a matter of expediency for the congregation

• There are some things that should not matter
• His economical status, race, or background
• Who is most visible, most talented in the
  assembly
• The most predominant or strong in nature
• Who is most popular or who I like the most
• God created work, God sets qualifications!
