OR 13 POINTS
  • For the first 8 points of a deciding set in a
match the Time-Outs and subs for the team
starting on thefar left will also be recorded on
    the far right
  • If the deciding set sheet is used for a 1 set

Bearcats 8 serves an ace. (7-7) Now there are 2
scenarios. Scenario 1 (team on left scores pt
8) 8 serves for point 8.
62
Changing Courts in aDECIDING SET
  • When the team on the left serves point 8 or point
    13 in a playoff set,
  • leave the checked box on the left empty (NO Exit
Score - that player is still serving) and
  • put an X on the service round box of that
    server on the far right.
  • The final exit score for that server will be in
the x box on the far right.

(Example on next slide)

COACHES TIP SHEET
  • Have only three people at the score table.
  • Any adult helping at the score table must be USAV
    registered for insurance purposes.
  • Before the R1 / Working team Coach starts the
game they need to check that the scorekeeper has
entered the teams on the correct side and that
they have used the correct line up for the set.
  • Teach your score keepers to finish side out
points in the order they happen. EX. Score in
exit box, slash Pt., sub if necessary, next
    server.
  • PLEASE REMEMBER AND TEACH SLOW AND RIGHT VERSUS
FAST AND WRONG. It saves time in the end.

68
COACHES TIP SHEET cont.
  • DO NOT allow playing teams coaches or parents of
work team to approach the score table or talk to
    the score keeper.
  • Coaches must ask the R2 for time outs and subs
used so that the scorekeepers do not get
    distracted.
  • Do not start the next play until you are sure
that your scorekeeper is finished entering subs,
score and the scorekeeper have given the 2 handed
    ready signal.
  • If there is a problem with the score you can
    check these things
  • Exit scores should always be one point more.
  • Make sure that the team that started the set
receiving, is one exit score box ahead of the
    team that started serving.
  • Check to see who the last server was on the other
    team. (Ask their coach)
