Numbers 251-5

• While Israel remained at Shittim, the people
  began to play the harlot with the daughters of
  Moab.
• For they invited the people to the sacrifices of
  their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to
  their gods.
• So Israel joined themselves to Baal of Peor, and
  the LORD was angry against Israel .

• The LORD said to Moses, Take all the leaders of
  the people and execute them in broad daylight
  before the LORD, so that the fierce anger of the
  LORD may turn away from Israel.
• So Moses said to the judges of Israel, Each of
  you slay his men who have joined themselves to
  Baal of Peor .

  brought to his relatives a Midianite woman, in
  the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the
  congregation of the sons of Israel, while they
  were weeping at the doorway of the tent of
  meeting.
• When Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of
  Aaron the priest, saw it, he arose from the midst
  of the congregation and took a spear in his hand
  .

  tent and pierced both of them through, the man of
  Israel and the woman, through the body. So the
  plague on the sons of Israel was checked.
• Those who died by the plague were 24,000 .

• Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron
  the priest, has turned away My wrath from the
  sons of Israel in that he was jealous with My
  jealousy among them, so that I did not destroy
  the sons of Israel in My jealousy .

• For His soldiers to arise
• For His people to love Him and hate sin
• For His chosen to burn with zeal for His honor

Soldiers of Christ Arise!

• It is time!
• We have experienced the victory we have overcome
  the curse We must NOT lay down our weapons and
  our armor.
• 2 Cor. 104, 5for the weapons of our warfare
  are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for
  the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying
  speculations and every lofty thing raised up
  against the knowledge of God, and we are taking
  every thought captive to the obedience of Christ
  .

Am I a Soldier of the Cross?

• Am I a soldier of the cross, a follower of the
  Lamb and shall I fear to own His cause, or blush
  to speak His name?
• Must I be carried to the skies on flowry beds of
  ease, while others fought to win the prize, and
  sailed thru bloody seas?

• Are there no foes for me to face? Must I not stem
  the flood? Is this dark world a friend to grace,
  to help me on to God?
• Sure I must fight if I would reign increase my
  courage Lord Ill bear the toil, endure the
  pain, supported by Thy word.

• Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the
  strength of His might.
• Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be
  able to stand firm against the schemes of the
  devil.
• For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
  but against the rulers, against the powers,
  against the world forces of this darkness,
  against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the
  heavenly places.
• Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that
  you will be able to resist in the evil day, and
  having done everything, to stand firm.
