  • What is it?
  • Approved Core Courses

What is it?
  • The clearinghouse is for ANY student-athlete that
    is planning to attend college AND participate in
    Division I or Division II athletics.
  • A student submits a Student Release Form,
    transcript and standardized test scores to NCAA
    to determine if they are eligible for Collegiate
    athletics.

  • Chancellor High School has certain courses that
    have been approved by NCAA to be Core Courses.

Eligibility for Classes of 2005,2006,2007
  • 14 Core Courses
  • 4 years of English
  • 2 years of Math
  • 2 years of Science
  • 1 year of additional English, Math, Science
  • 2 years of Social Studies
  • 3 years of Additional Core Courses (any of the
    above, and religion, philosophy, computer
    science, and foreign language)

Eligibility for Class of 2008 and Beyond
  • 16 Core Courses
  • 4 years of English
  • 3 years of Math
  • 2 years of Science
  • 1 year of Additional English, Math, Science
  • 2 years of Social Studies
  • 4 years of Additional Core Courses (any of the
    above, religion, philosophy, computer science,
    foreign language)

Timeline
  • 4 year plan beginning in 8th grade
  • Recommended to take SAT/ACT in Spring of Junior
    Year.
  • Register for NCAA clearinghouse in the summer
    AFTER your junior year.
  • Online (www.ncaaclearinghouse.net) or
    paper format.
  • NOTIFY Counselor to submit Junior Transcript and
    SAT/ACT scores to NCAA.
  • Counselor will send FINAL TRANSCRIPT after
    graduation.
