Whats a blog?

• Blog is a compressed version of the term
  Web-log
• Analogous to diaries (found as fossils or
  artifacts in museums of anthropology)
• Resides entirely on the internet with possible
  archives on authors discs

So, why should I ditch my diary ?

• They arent interactive
• They cant store audio/video clippings
• Their readership is too limited
• You cant have discussions about a post in your
  diary
• They require high maintenance
• You can lose your diary
• And finally, if you dont ditch your paper
  diaries, the FSM will curse you with its noodly
  appendage

• Blogs can hold multimedia content (or links to
  it)
• Readers can post their comments
• You can delete comments if they are offensive or
  irrelevant
• You can create blog rings (discussed later) and
  share your blogs with other groups or individuals
• Blog entries can be announced as RSS feeds
  (discussed later)

• The popular ones include
• blogger.com
• livejournal.com
• myspace.com (recently taken over by fox network)
• bloglines.com
• Blogger.com would be a better choice in the
  present scenario

This is the main blog on which all of you would
be posting However There has to be an
administrator AND everyone who wants to post,
needs to have an account That way you join the
TBA blog as a team member and at the same time
you can have your own blog on the account you
have created

• Note This name is for your own personal blog.
  For the TBA blog, you will be posting as a team
  member only

Choose a template

• You need to pick a template even though it may be
  just temporary
• You can always change your templates later on
• If you are conversant with HTML, you can also
  modify your templates
• Again for the sake of TBA blog, the template
  would be set by the administrator (your
  suggestions are welcome)

Spreading the word

• Linking to this blog from your own blog
• Informing other organizations to list it in their
  directory (Like FFRF.org, IIDB etc.)
• Specifying atheism in the interests/hobbies in
  section of profile
• Posting comments to other peoples blogs include
  link to TBA blog in the signature
