What is IPC?
  • Established in 2004 in Brasilia.
  • Global centre for applied research and training
    on development policy and for the promotion of
    South-South Cooperation.
  • Partnership between UNDP and the Brazilian
    Government.
  • Within UNDP Linked to the Poverty Practice of
    the Bureau for Development Policy.
  • Within the Brazilian Government Linked to the
    Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea),
    the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs at the
    Presidency of the Republic.

    countries.

    covering 16 thematic areas.

    people, including 3,200 UNDP staff.

    have thus far involved more than 7,000
    representatives of around 50 developing
    countries.
