AUHSD Graduation Requirements

• Credits 230 required for graduation
• GPA 2.0 minimum Overall Weighted for graduation
• CAHSEE Must pass both Math and English
  sections-will take in March, 2010
• Math requirement 3 years of 3 different math
  courses, through the Junior year
• Career class 10 credits or 1 year required. ROP
  counts towards career!

  years recommended
• Foreign Language 2 years required of the same
  foreign language, 3 years are
  recommended for most universities
• VPA 1 year of a Visual/Performing Art
  class required

Sophomore Conference

• WHO is involved? Your child and the counselor
• WHAT is it about? Plan for the rest of high
  school and post-graduation plans
• WHERE will it take place? In the Counseling
  Center
• WHEN will it occur? Will begin in October, 2009
  and be completed by February, 2010. There are
  615 students who need to be seen!
• WHY do we do this? So that the Counselor and
  student are on the same page!
