  • Donovan Bailey is a professional sprinter
  • He is known as the fastest man alive, even after
    his retirement
  • He set a world record and recorded the fastest
    speed for a human being

Early Life
  • Born to Daisy and George Bailey on December 16,
    1967
  • Grew up in Manchester, Jamaica
  • Arrived in Canada at age 13 to live in Oakville,
    Ontario

  • He first attended the Queen Elizabeth High School
  • Then went on to attend Sheridan College

Later Life
  • Received diploma from business administration
    after graduating from Sheridan College
  • Worked in the Brokerage Industry and eventually
    had his own company

  • In 1994, while watching Canadian Track
    Championships he thought that he could run faster
    than the racers
  • Within just 8 weeks of intensive training, he was
    running amongst the top sprinters

  • Set an Olympic and Canadian record for running
    100m in 9.84 seconds
  • Set a world record for running 50m in 5.56
    seconds
  • Set the record for the fastest time for a human
    27.1 mph

Conclusion
  • The reason I chose Donovan Bailey is because I
    thought he was a very interesting person to
    create a project for.
  • It surprised me on how much he has
    accomplished, I knew he was a professional runner
    and a good one at that, but I never realized he
    had set so many records.
  • I hope you enjoyed reading and listening in on my
