7The Sudanese survivors have been raped, maimed,
and stripped of their possessions. Their homes
and farmlands have been burned to the
ground. Now, nearly one million people are on the
road or are living in refugee camps hungry, and
at risk for numerous diseases.

13One Call
The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee has
heard the call for justice and mercy.
14We participated in a delegation organised by the
Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) to examine how
best to meet the refugees needs. Now programs
are being carried out to assist more than 35,000
people.
15CRWRCs first action was to develop clean
drinking water and sanitary latrines, under the
leadership of volunteer Lambert Hunse.

24An agriculture project was carried out in
partnership with the CFGB. Volunteers John and
Yetty Joosse continue to manage this, and other,
projects.
25The project distributes vegetable seeds, hoes,
and shovels, assisting the people in camps to
grow their own food.

44One Donation
CRWRC would like to thank you for your support in
these and other programs. When we work with the
Canadian Foodgrains Bank, your donations are
matched by CIDA. Your financial donation goes a
long way. A donation of 2 feeds a family for one
month. Thank you.
