Chess Team Rules
  • Respect your opponent!
  • Before game, wish your opponent a good game. Mean
    it!
  • Dont know opponent? Introduce yourself.
  • Be quiet during play. Dont annoy or distract.
  • Never make fun of anyone.
  • Dont laugh or comment on bad moves.
  • Dont wink or make faces.
  • Dont exaggerate your own moves.
  • After game, say something positive to opponent.
  • Be a good winner.
  • Dont gloat.
  • Be a good looser.
  • No tempers or tantrums.
  • Be grateful to loose, for you should have learned
    something.
  • Dont bother other peoples games. Stand back.
  • Two strikes and youre out.

Chess Team Rules
  • Help your teammates
  • We are a team. We are friends.
  • Older kids help to teach younger.
  • Feel free to point out your attacks during
    drills.
  • Mention each possible move. Discussion during
    drills is OK.
  • Play as well as possible.
  • You will learn more in losing a game than in
    winning a game.
  • Pay Attention
  • No talking when the Coach is talking.
  • No horsing around.
  • Three strikes, youre out.
  • No Arrogance
  • After a game, always be cheerful and calm.
  • Be a gracious winner.
